A short solo I decided to do to try out my camera after getting it back from repair as well as to try the new Adobe CS4 Masters pack I upgraded to.

*** Drum sounds are all from the Roland TD6V drum module. ***

  • Really cool video!

Sorry for my bad english but how the hi-hat cymbale is working? Is it a real zildjian cymbale? Or did you put a sticker on it?

    Thx!

  • The cymbals were "converted" from acoustic to electric. Basically I put a dampening material under them to stop the acoustic sound and then attached a piezo electric disk as a trigger which runs to the drum module.

I'll send you a message though youtube email with the URL of the site that goes over the process of making one of these hi-hats.

  • Small mistakes but hey, nobody is perfect. How long have you played ?

  • Thanks

I have always been playing drums but have been on this custom kit for about 3 years now.

  • I love the job you did on your DIY Drums!

What kind of splash do you have going on there?

Your other cymbals are cool as well, nice kit!

    And nice playing 5*!

  • The splash is an 8 inch Perl...something cheap that I could convert from A - E.

Thanks for the comment...it's nice to be able to make a video with an actual camera again.

  • I don't play electronic kits as good as I normally do with acoustic drums, it's something in the pads and how it feels that keeps me from doing my best, oh and nice kit dude hehe.

  • I like the use of the left hand for the ride cymbal, but still keeping the set-up as a right-hander.

  • there are alot of timing issues and its seens you don't where to go some of the time, but with lots of pratice i reckon you could be very good :)

  • You're awesome, keep up! ^^

  • WOW Man i never new you were this good. good job you got talent. *****

  • Nice Camera
