This is a demonstration of tube feeding a baby harbor seal at the Marine Mammal Center in the Marin Headlands of California. Baby harbor seals are often abandoned by their mothers when humans interfere with them. If there is no hope that the mother will return, they are rescued and brought to the Marine Mammal Center, where they are fed and taught how to fend for themselves in the wild. Then they are released back to the ocean.
