@crusty21 yes, start putting them away! food and stuff first, then junk silver coins(i would go with dimes and quarters 1964 or before) and copper pennies (1982 and before)

how will silver be worth anything in an economic collapse? lead or food will be worth more than gold...survivalist...come on..

Great idea-Great start. Only advice I would give is also have some smaller items. A roll of Silver dimes also. What if someone wants 3 dimes for a loaf of bread(silver dimes)? The melt value of a silver dime TODAY is about $1.35(August 2010), thats over 4 bucks for 3 dimes! See wear you would be stuck is, you would have to give 1 WHOLE OUNCE for a loaf. Heck, I would sell a loaf for 3 dimes today! But you would be forced to give me a WHOLE oz of Silver if you had nothing smaller. get 1 roll.

Good start. Buy your prep supplies NOW plus 27 is NOT enough. I have 4000 and worry that is not enough. Buy barter material. Airline size Luksusowa vodka @ 90 cents a bottle is best.

@POC777 Bud,thats completely up to you.. I dont have a set amount I just buy them when I can plus my father gets me one every year...I really dont have enuf yet if that helps :)
