Very kool! Too bad it has been modified. The orinal 78 version was really neat to watch in action. The orignal tube amp had a really warm sound. I've seen quite a few other old jukes modified with modern CD changer mechs in them. What's next, an iPod dock? No manufacturer would have done this. It's got a Rowe mech in it.

That was DUMB! You just turned a SEVERAL thousand dollar original into a 150.00 modern piece of JUNK! Original would have been MUCH BETTER! You DESTROYED a RARE original!! Too bad! TSK TSK!!

This is surprising! The transistor has been discovered in 1954 and tubes in this era were largely in popularity! If that jukebox has a "solid state" amp, this means that the sound system has been replaced (perhaps by the a manufacturer's rejuvenating program)!!!!
