Shot from Port Canaveral. You can't see as much as official NASA video, but I believe it was one of the closest views of the launch possible because it launches from a different area than the space shuttles do. You can see the rocket go up and hear the sonic boom in this video (the boom is really quite impressive in person). It was a cloudy evening, unfortunately, so the rocket disappears pretty quickly. Pretty cool to see something launch that's sending something out all the way to the moon though, wouldn't you agree? :-)

  • @redricky2008 thanks man, we were pretty bummed because we were supposed to see the shuttle launch (TWICE it was cancelled that week...) but it was still great to see the rocket that found water on the moon!
