thanx that was really helpful. it would have been better though if you just editted out the beggining and just started with the part about the amatomy of the aqueduct. this could just be my opinions but, oh well. overall it was really helpful. thanx again!!

The forces work on a modern road are far more powerful than the ones on ancient roads. Highways for instance have thousands of cars daily driving 70MPH on them, if you were to try that with an ancient road it'd turn into gravel. You've also got to factor in the fact that some areas just have more road friendly weather than others. For instance a road that's in an open area will suffer far more erosion from wind and water than a road in a forest area.
