The proces of how to draw a mandala for example: in my case most of the time I start to draw them from the middle of the page. In many cases I did some concentrical circles around , divided the circle in 8 sections or 16 (or more or less as you like) and did some pattern in one section which I repeated in all. The patterns in my case look similar very much BUT they are not 100 percent identical, and this side of my technique makes the drawing alive! I do not want to make my art on computers and I dont aim to make the patterns 100 percent symetrical , completely the same. That would be a machine work not a human action. Like this the symetri brings joy of some harmony and the differences in patterns in same time bring some life in to the drawing. You may start to draw in any way you want , there are no rules in my universe how to do it , I do it like this but U may feel free to do it other way too. In few cases I started to draw from the edge of the paper towards the center. I use coloured pencills ,feelt tip, and some aquarell in few cases. After 2010 I did NOT use tools to make the circles around (spider net base) to draw , all done free hand and this will most probably continue. I love to do it in my room in cold winter times or in spring outside near lakes when silent peacefull time and space are enlivened around me.This is called Majdan Mandala , cos I did it in Kelebia on a small pond . Enjoy
