Hi Dutchbopper, I enjoy hearing your playing and always take the time to watch your videos when they appear in the subscriptions list. Couple of questions: How many jazz tunes do you have in your reportoire?! How long does it usually take you to learn one of them? Regards.

@stemajor7 Hi there. I have a repertoire of favorite standads of about 40 tunes or so. But if a standard is not too hard I can play it right away from sheet music probably. Maybe not the melody, but the comping and impro is usually no problem. That's what happens at jam sessions. A guy calls a tune you don't know. you open up your Real Book and play it on the spot.
