there is a focus in live view bud so if you still have it clear ur nose out and read the directions

If you read your Canon manual, you might have given it a chance. It sounded like you had the Canon for a day before you made this review.
I am glad you got back the d60 which seemed to work out better for you.
Cheers

Wen I first bought my 50d I did the exact same thing you did with the focussing. I debated on either the nikon d90 or the canon 50d. I have always been a canon user so I went with the canon. The 50d is a great camera for someone who knows what they are doing. The button layout of the nikon different from canon. I like my canon and will continue to buy canon. The only nikon that I would buy is the d700. When buying a dslr do some homework on knowing the basics of photography.

you can auto focus with the xsi from program mode- Adep mode.

Aww... You sound like you are about to cry :s
O ok good, but I'm still tryna decide whether to get a nikon or canon... my canon point and shoot s780 has like TONS of noise when taking photos... and another thing I heard too is that the canon's slr's don't have much colour or vibrance... anyways I may get the XS instead of the XSI as it's cheaper and it has less mega pix resulting in less noise perhaps... what do you think?
Canons are better in point and shoot then Nikons. I prefer Nikon in DSLR. Yes, you heard correct Canons are less vibrant than Nikons. I think Canons have less noise just by a bit but noise really relies on several factors mostly ISO and lighting conditions. I prefer Nikon because their pictures have more depth imo and that is just an opinion get whichever camera feels more comfortable in your hand you can't go wrong with Nikon or Canon dslrs.
Lol looks like you've been reading Ken Rockwell, he says the exact same thing about the D60...but if you have the money get the D60 over the D40.
I don't even know who Ken Rockwell is but he sounds really smart since we seem to agree.
sorry I thought you kept the canon xsi. You are a moron. You should have changed the picture style to achieve your desired image quality and maybe the lens you got was messed up. 450D rules bro.
I seriously laughed out loud after reading this. Thank you for that.
