Thank you for posting this, it is such a great show. But isn't it a bit selfish for Almanzo to ask this of Laura. To choose between him and her father, the two most important men in her world. Doesn't seem fair.

How old is Nellie supposed to be? Is she 17-year older than Laura or was she same age as Mary as in 18 or so?

Okay. I can understand some people could see that PA was quite unfair to Laura. Meanwhile, he did allow Mary to marry so young. I guess maybe Charles, at the time, felt it was best to let Mary go since she was blind and have Albert to help her and take care of her whereas he could not help his own daughter.

I love MA!!!!!!!!! She speaks so calmly and understandingly!! I wish my MA was like that =) cuz that's how a mother should be. Caring, calm, delicate, graceful, stern in a way, motherly, and a godly woman who fears the Lord =)

Thank you for for posting i havn't seen this one. It just would have been better if they went more on the books when it came to Almanzo and Laura but it is a show so they needed to keep the ratings up so more drama the better. It also would have been nice to see a Cap Garland, Mary Powers, and Ida Brown.
