What exactly do you mean by "formed"? There are a wide variety of cultures in the world and throughout history with different gender roles and relations. I suspect you need to study some anthropology.
Also, you suggest that feminism is the reverse of misogyny as in man-hating. One means hatred towards women and the other means supporting the empowerment of women.
