Ok folks so this is just a little update on my 28 gallon bow front, Basically the aquarium water is cloudy, its been sitting a while and while it was sitting it got cloudy. Not sure why, i think maybe its because the air pump 8000 was in the cabinet where there may be some dust and it got pumped into the aquarium? Another guess is that the aquarium gravel sucks because when you move it, little white power floats around and i think it may be the gravels fault. But i also noticed before the gravel was put in, that next to the blue aquarium decorations, it looks liked dust sitting on the aquarium floor. So anyways in this video i add some carbon hoping it will clean up the water, eventually in the next videos i add fish so stay tuned!

  • dude who told you that you need 4 lbs of carbon

  • @krypton816 no one haha i really dont need that much carbon

  • I've enjoyed this series. I've been thinking about getting that tank. Cloudiness is probably ammonia. Consider dosing your tank with activated bacteria. Maybe safestart or stress zyme.

  • @Pleeb99 Hey Thanks for the compliments! I ended up re-starting this aquarium with different gravel and no fake plants and decorations and i got it super clear!

  • nice, i have small gravel, its ok, no problem with it, and it can boil easier and cleans faster.

    nice update.

  • @1Rockyboxer1 you boil your gravel rocks to clean it?

  • all you need is to keep the foam the way it is and the carbon the most important part of the filter it your bio rings it preserves bacteria witch keeps your water clear duded

  • @luv4fashionprincess1 im so please you posted that comment, ive just changed the water for the first time on my new tropical aquarium and it went cloudy, this never happened with my coldwater tanks so i was a little concerened but not anymore :D

  • just use pillow badding you really don't need carbon unless your treating with medication's it's a waste of money !!save a lot of money on filter cartridge's for sure...

  • waters cold thats all

  • It could be ammonia or if you just cleaned it and you used warm water it might be that because when I use warm water for my aquarium it seems to get a little foggy but then it clears up in maybe an hour or so.

  • it could be ammonia cycle if its a new tank!!

  • @aquariumguy2010 I let mine soak in steaming hot water.
