Earl Hooker (1930 - 1970) nació en Mississippi pero fue a la escuela en Chicago y recogió las técnicas guitarreras de los grandes del blues y el jazz. Sobrino del legendario John Lee Hooker, Earl amaba tocar la guitarra y siempre lo hacía de una manera impecable. Este album posee algunos de las mejores grabaciones de Earl. Buddy Guy consideraba a Hooker un monstruo de la guitarra que debería ser admirado por todos los guitarristas del blues, lamentablemente existen pocas grabaciones de esta leyenda del blues.

Stevie was knee-high when this tune came out and the actual song "Mary Had A Little Lamb" was a 1967 Buddy Guy release so not sure who RIPPED OFF WHO? But it's all good!
