This is a tank of the Zoo Aquarium of the Cologne Zoo called "Kölner Zoo".
It's the footage of the 3rd Zoo Trip for fischbottich.de.
+++
Who can tell me what exact species this catfish is? I think it's out of the Family: long-whiskered catfish (Pimelodidae).
It's about 60cm (24inch) long and probably from south or central america.

Wer weiß um welche Art von Antennenwels es sich hier handelt? Ich vermute er stammt aus der Familie der echten Antennenwelse (Pimelodidae).
Er ist 40cm lang und wahrscheinlich aus Zentral- oder Südamerika

  • it is definitely a sailfin pim, Leiarius pictus. as they get larger the dorsal fin shrinks in comparison to the body. it also still has the remnants of the stripe that runs from the front of the dorsal fin and curving back to the tail.

  • @blacktip4shizzle

Can you eliminate the suggestions "Leiarius marmoratus" and "Perrunichtys perruno"?

  • A Black Catfish???

  • @laginalang09

The "Black Catfish" (Trachycorystes trachycorystes) has a flatter head with a way bigger mouth, i think.

  • its an upside down catfish..

  • @pro194757

It looks kinda, but it's way bigger.

  • @n03lzz Yeah that's how big they get when they're not kept in a dinky ten gallon tank. lol.

  • @predalien3100 - oh really? why dont u upload a vid?

  • this is a jundia, one of the South American fish

  • i have that in my fish tank but its 2-4 inches

  • @n03lzz not to mention im pretty sure this is in genus pimedolus

  • @n03lzz hmm memory might be failing me as I have not seen learius in a while but I recall a longer face ill look it up for you later.

  • FATASS.

    j/k

  • a big huge brown one

  • It looks pregnant

  • @pro194757 In 15 years it would reach about 4" assuming it's kept very well fed and has plenty of swimming space. You're looking at centuries (at least) to get an upside down cat to that size...
