I too am torn between Torgo and his wife.
Rest in peace, John Reynolds. This movie pretty much ruined your life, but I wish you could know that your performance as Torgo is by far one of the most beloved and remembered in B-horror history. We laugh at Torgo, but deep inside that's because we love him. He's a lovable underdog.

Man, the only reason to see Manos aside from riff fests or cheese factor is Torgo. The actor who played him was way too talented for the film. All those twitches, so subtle.

.... back in 1966, I thought MANOS:THE HANDS OF FATE was going to be a scary movie, and after about ten minutes or so I started to giggle a little. I noticed others at the downtown El Paso theater were laughing a little too. Well, I can't recall what the exact scene was, but suddenly it was so funny I had tears rolling down my face....
