www.teampavlik.com -Kelly Pavlik Co-Hosts ESPN's Friday Night Fights on May 25 2007. It has been less than a week since his May 19 war with Edison Miranda. Pavlik does a superb job of commentating and analyzing.

  • I agree. But if Pavlik gets an open lick on Calzaghe, he's probably gonna b done. But Calzaghe throws over 100 punches per round. The points will come in his favor. I don't think Calzaghe can actually HURT Pavlik.

  • Calzaghe vs Pavlik.

  • @odin422 I guess you didnt know about the drinking ha???

  • @SpecialFightVideo

lol! Calzaghe would have destroyed Pavlik if they fought. He would would have beaten him for 12 rounds!

  • COTTO IS THE BEST RIGHT NOW

  • mclive, that is so ignorant. First of all, Calzaghe already whipped the crap out of Roy Jones. Were living in a cave at the time?

Calzaghe hits HARD and he's as fast as the young Roy Jones. Pavlak is not a polished boxer and his experience is nothing compared to Calzaghe's. Not saying he's not a great fighter, but he's not even close to being in the same league.

  • Kelly is a great role-model.

  • Calzaghe wouldn't last three rounds against Pavlik, he is the MOST overrated figher right now, Jones should take care of him even with his old azz!

  • If Kelly gets between 60-90 hard punches a round and Calzaghe throws 100 slaps... you tell me what a judge is going to do??? This is not amateurs. Each of Kelly's significant landed shots and even his misses will resonate in a way that Calzaghe's slaps can not and will not. Pavlik would win a decision if Joe can take the punishment.

  • After watching Pavlik-Lockett, I believe that Pavlik is ready to take on Calzaghe. A 7th or 8th Round TKO would not surprise me.

I have zero interest in Calzaghe-Jones. It's as bad as De La Hoya-Mayweather II would have been.

Mayweather-Cotto and Calzaghe-Pavlik are fights I would love to see.

Calzaghe is not necessarily a coward, he's just greedy.

  • You are absolutely wrong. But the bottom line is that Calzaghe is ducking Pavlik to fight Jones. From a business stand-point he might make more money fighting the old man Jones. From the standpoint of the best fight for the boxing public: Calzaghe is a coward.

  • Indeed. Right now, if Pavlik caught Calzaghe flush once, Joe would be in big trouble. However, I don't think that would happen too often if they met up right now. As you say, the punch output alone would give Calzaghe the decision.

And let the thumbs down commence.
