The Importance of Silence in your Spiritual Practice

Welcome to the Satsang with the Self video series. To learn more about Satsang with the Self, visit http://satsangwiththeself.com or http://channelhigherself.com

This Satsang with the Self session by Channel Higher Self answers the question: What is the importance of silence during our spiritual practice?

Silence is the root, the foundation, of all spiritual practices. Why has silence been given this high place in spiritual practices? Why is silence so important in spirituality?

This Higher Self channeling teaches the relationship between silence and the manifest world. Learn how silence is the foundation for the activity of life. It is through silence that the experience of life is made possible.

Learn as the Higher Self teaches that the spiritual practice of meditation is the cultivation of silence within our self. As we meditate we deepen our experience of silence which creates peace and happiness within our self. As we deepen our inner silence we increase our experience of oneness, improve our mental, emotional, and physical health, and expand our spiritual understanding of who we are as Consciousness, the deepest layer of the Self.

In this Satsang with the Self channeling session, the Higher Self teaches a simple guided meditation that with practice will deepen the experience of silence within you, and help you to create more peace, love, and oneness in your self.

Many blessings and much Love!

  • Hey Lincoln, what do you think about meditating with ear plugs? I live in a place with a lot of noise, loud noises coming from the television, distracting me and putting me out of balance.

  • @AccountNr2 Yes earplugs can be used. Earplugs will amplify the sound of one's breath - which can help to keep the attention fixed on breathing and out of thoughts.

  • I closed my eyes when you said, after opening them, everything around me seemed clear, so clear I can see where it is foggy. Thank you, from a christian point of view, I really do not know why some of my brothers call this devils craft. This is clearly also what Jesus must have been meaning to teach us all, as Rama, Krishna, and many others. Not to mention how much you actually make me think of Jesus off the bat :o

  • @BaelZozgoreth Social conditioning and fear causes us to resist and judge that which is unknown or unfamiliar. Ultimately there are 7 billion people and 7 billion perspectives on life. Just like no two fingerprints are identical, so too are no two ways of living the same.

Follow your inner knowing and let your Heart be your guide. Fear restricts us and Love expands us. God is the all-expansive Self. Love is the way to God. Namaste.

  • hahah, this guys a pshcho !!

  • A wise man once said...

"It's time for us as a people to start makin' some changes.

Let's change the way we eat, let's change the way we live and let's change the way we treat each other.

You see the old way wasn't working so it's on us to do what we gotta do, to survive."

    Many blessings and much Love!
