  • Let'em goooo!!!!

Nothing wrong with this study as long as they anonymized individuals.

  • On the other hand, sociologists are not required to gain consent if they are observing subjects in a public place and not interacting with them. Here we have the dilemma- is Facebook the electronic equivalent of walking in the mall, or is it the electronic equivalent of being in one's own dwelling with the doors and windows open? If it's the latter then informed consent is required.

  • 3:20 Yeah, people's interest can identify a person. Let test this. Tell me the guy who's done masturbate on the web but then do it again when he saw an bare breasted tribal African women?

  • sociology is a weak science

  • They make public accounts on the internet about every aspect of their personality but as soon as someone uses it for a research they get all cocky and shit. Get a life. Ana if you don't want people to use your PUBLIC twitter information, guess what, DON'T MAKE A PUBLIC TWITTER ACCOUNT!!! If I take a picture of myself naked and upload it on the internet for the entire world to see I can't complain in case someone prints it and sends it to my mom! I just can't! I don't have that right! It's simple

  • @uoftron Why is Cenk commenting on a TyT video over a second account. Win.

  • If you don't want people to use your info for anything then don't put it out on the internet, thats all.

  • Thats what advertisers do right??

    Even on facebook??

  • If you think people aren't using the info/pictures you put on Facebook to do research for advertising purposes, you're a dumb ass. This study isn't any different. The second you put it on the Internet, you lost your rights to it.
