@beautifulsarah100 Helen broke her neck for 3 weeks before the Olympics in Moscow. She said in an interview that had prayed to God to send her a minor injury to take a break from training. And received a "vacation" - for life - for 26 years. She could not be happy that broke his neck. This is nonsense!

what was Klimenko shouting at Yelana when she was on the beam?
-
The routines that were done on the old setup of the uneven bars were agonising. Likewise, the beam was then still just a bare block of polished wood (international standards didn't specify a covering until 1980).

Maldito Klimenko...nunca valoró a la grandiosa Yelena Mukhina!! (la cual era mejor k la Comaneci)

Can someone translate what Klimenko and Elena are talking after 5:52? please :)

I think she is Svetlana Agapova.

I don't like Mikhail Klimenko, he was someone who could not stop!

@beautifulsarah100 It was actually a couple of weeks until the Games :( For her to have that thought when her injury happened is a testimony to her grueling regimen.

Whose the girl at 1.38? Does anyone know?

Elena said that when she was lying on the ground with a broken neck right after the accident, her first thought was, Thank God I don't have to go to the Olympics (1980, which were a few months away, as I remember). All through this documentary she looks pitifully sad and hopeless - which was sort of weird because she truly was a great competitor. I guess there are some things we'll never know the whole story on.
Mukhina must have been sick or injured during this video. She looks absolutely miserable. Given the events that would soon unfold, the whole thing is very depressing to see.
