  • Aside from Chang'an, WuTai Shan was probably the greatest center of Buddhism in all of China up until the anti-Buddhist persecutions in the Tang dynasty. There are many tales of monks on WuTaiShan who were great masters of martial arts. There are many martial arts that trace their origins to WuTaiShan including Jooklum TangLang. The original Jooklum temple was located there. From there it was brought to a branch temple on LongHu Shan in Jiangsu (Kwongsai) from which it spread to Guangdong.
