    Yes, a sample of an old pre-war rosewood Gibson J-200 was scientifically tested and the result was Indian rosewood.

    I don't know, just the strings that were on the guitar at that day. If I remember correctly, they were medium gauge, probably Phosphor Bronze. Not too easy to play, as you can hear from all the clams...
