Can you build your own hardtail WITHOUT a jig? or is it not possible? They don't seem to have a premade hardtail for my bike.
my bike is a 1973 honda cb450

Dude, this is EXACTLY what I'm looking for!

These hardtails add 4" in length and drop the bike 4" right? I just got one off of ebay, do you have to get a longer chain and will the brake cable reach. I asked the company I got it from and they had no idea.

i thought finding a video on a step by step process of doing an ironhead hard tail would be alot harder, thanks for making the video!

possibly one of the most helpful videos on youtube, especially for someone who doesnt have years of experience with old scooters like that ironhead. Cheers for the vid mate.

Would an IRONHEAD hardtail with 2" of stretch look goofy? I am not the biggest fan of 4" of stretch. I know that this is not standard, just wondering.

Beauty is in the eye of the Beer-holder, but, I've always thought that rigid Sportys that are short behind the seatpost look like a dog taking a s**t. Perhaps, a bigger consideration is how much room for an oiltank, battery box, etc. do you need behind the seatpost to execute your build plan?
