Important question,

How does de-branding my i8910 affect my contract with Orange, will they know its been unlocked ?? I have insurance so if anything went wrong with phone I would claim it was lost so they wouldnt see my de-branded handset. As long as Orange cant find out through my sim, its all good, pls reply.

I'm not sure if you can claim insurance on a debranded handset. Since I do not work for Orange or an Insurance company, I have no knowledge of their internal procedures. Sorry.

PS : just to clarify, debranding doesn't unlock your phone.

No, each phone has a unique unlock code. You have to purchase your own code to unlock your phone.
