Blue Angel Lcdr Kevin "Kojak" Davis Tribute

Tribute to 2007 Blue Angel #6, Lcdr Kevin Davis who lost his life while performing at an Air Show in Beaufort, SC with the United States Navy Blue Angels. He will be missed.

Well this brought a few tears to my eyes.......my heart and prayers go out to his family. What an awful tragedy to lose such a fine young man. God rest his soul.

@doughesson That's interesting, I always wondered about that. Every time I've seen the Angels, I noticed they appeared to wear no g-suits. I figured they must be built into their flight suits. Perhaps that will be a solution, though tradition is diehard.

i dont know him. but he show me a brave things to do ,. i will save some money just to try a blue angel airshow. this things that i can never ever had in my country.

@agibbs98 Well,I guess the two Blue Angel pilotsI spoke with recently, a Navy LCDR and a USMC Captain respectively,told me wrong then,huh?

But,if you want to call two officers of the Naval Service liars,that's your lookout.

All pilos lost are missed.It's when they are lost during non combat missions that make it worse.

Due to the PR aspects of their unit,the Blue Angels fly without g suits that other fighter pilots wear to prevent blood from pooling away from the brain during the high G maneuvers that thrill crowds so much.Maybe someone will design a suit that looks good when they're on the ground but also has a g suit designed into it for flight.

Kevin was a great and humble guy.

It was my honor to have known you Kojak and had many a cocktail with you my friend.
