  • that little "punk kid" was the star of the first anime ever to air on national television.

  • The very first! The very BEST!! THE ALL TIME CLASSIC!!!! :D Its this really adorable tale about a young robot who is created by Dr. Tenma, a scientist at the Ministry of Science, in place of his late son, Tobio. Its like Pinnocchio. Astro is left out in the world soon after Tenma dissappears and is "adopted" by Professor Ochanomizu and instead of learning to be evil, he uses his powers to forge a bond between the robots who are treated like slaves and the humans who tower over them.

  • depending on which version you watch...in the 1960's version tenma actually SELLS astroboy to the circus...very sad :(

but all versions are awesome! :D

  • there going to be on 23 of may yyyyyyhhhhhhhhh

    anime expo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Its very heart warming! :) But I reccomend you see it before the movie comes out. I look forward to seeing the movie, but I am afraid that America will take her chance to "modify" Astro Boy. I like all of Astro Boy, but I reccomend my favorite season, the 1980's version, because it has the messages of the manga, its in color, and it was the final piece that Tezuka made right before he died in 1989. Its like a memmorial. :)

  • lol I know, I know! Yes, at a convention, those T-shirt tosses are absolute genius publicity stunts, but they can be pretty dangerous :P

  • LOL I was at the first one when they first got people to start chanting "A-D-V!!!" at AX01 and let me tell you trying to get a t-shirt as a 5'1 12 year old kid is fucking HARD
