Souey is a proper legend......brilliant player, hard as bell metal with a pass to die for, talks absolute sense, one of the best pundits there is...could listen to the man all day long.

@drasl couldn't have said it better myself. The arrogance of England is summed up by the fact that England refused to enter the World Cup to begin with back when it started, because they thought they invented it, so why should they prove they're good? Turned out they were not good enough, because they were beaten as soon as they entered in the fifties I think it was. And I don't think it can be denied that English Prem League players are woefully overpaid and overhyped.

@mrusername no it doesnt the top three teams are european....
-
Makes sense, seeing as so many great European teams have really underperformed this World Cup.

Also Spain are too!

I will just add one thought to this theory.
Italy are also based & training at high altitude!
-
He's talking about living and training at altitude (which is what England's base camp is) and not actually playing at altitude.
I dunno if there is much truth in this, but I've never seen England so flat or Rooney so poor.

this is rubbish talk..
When own-goals saved England from defeat to Japan, were they playing at that altitude??
Purrleease..
Always looking for excuses for failure.
The boys and tactics are not good. I remember Ashley Cole making a lot of runs in that match. or didn't he prepare himself the same way the team did??
Ashley & Johnson did a lot of running in that match so that tiredness excuse is total nonesense.
The altitude may be affecting the players but still England just has to face the fact that their players are overhyped and overpaid. The English Premier League is not the best in the world because of the English players, far from it. Sure the English players are good, but the general concencus from most people is that England should always be the favorite because they are them. Then the team goes out and expects to win without digging deep and forcing the win. Spineless and arrogant England is
