In August, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice spoke of a spirit of that partnership with the African nations of Kenya and Tanzania. It was the tenth anniversary of bombings that rocked the U.S. embassies in those countries and killed hundreds of Africans and several Americans.
Worldfocus travels to both nations and finds that today, their people hold varying opinions of America. In Kenya, several Kenyans take comfort in American popular culture. Some Kenyans say they feel a connection to Americans because of their shared pain of terrorism and the ascent of presidential candidate Barack Obama, whose father was Kenyan.
In the Muslim-populated country of Tanzania, the view of America sours. Some citizens report a more negative view of the U.S. and its foreign policy.
Worldfocus correspondent Martin Seemungal and producer Yuval Lion report from Kenya and Tanzania.

Kenyans should travel to the US and ask an average american what happened when they lost 213 innocent niggers, they will be surprised that they dont know,it is considered COLLATERAL DAMAGE.

@Lakena2552 Thanks, one thing we as AFRICAN then Americans, have to do is research and understand who we truly are as a people, and not who they tell us we are. If you by a baby cat and raise him to be a dog. Is he to blame for acting like a dog. No, because he was raised thinking he was a dog. But as individuals, its our job as we reach certain ages to find that out. In our schools and education a lot TRUTH is hidden and kept from us so many outside look at us strange. Truthfully

@HoddatheHitman I Agree 100% some African Natives do Like African Americans and Some of them Don't :( and I understand because most African Americans have Never Traveled to Africa Before and some African Natives Have Never Traveled to America Before so that is Very Understading :) and you are 100% Right !!!! It is About establishing a Connection with Eachother :) I am Very Interested in Making Connections with African Natives and Looking forward to Visiting Africa :) I Love your Reply !!!!!

@Lakena2552 I think it's about establishing a connection with each other. Because I've met some Africans who wasn't so open, and loving towards American but some who were. Once they get to know and understand the mis education system and know that all blacks aren't brainwashed, and trained. Then it makes a difference in the way we're perceived.

@Afrikanglobal So I guess my question to you, would be do Africans, dislike African Americans as well, or is it just the Government of America. And if so, Why???
