Lord Rama - The perfect man

Lord Rama is hindu God. He was born in Ayothya to king Dasaratha and Kousalya. All details obtained about him was from Ramayana. This was first brought to the world by rishi Valmiki.All deities of Hinduism in India as well as South east Asia preserve this ithihasa (means this happened this way only)as a noble treasure.
Rama married Sita. Rama was considered as Avatar of maha Vishnu and Sita avatar of maha Lakshmi. Rama was worshiped as Purushottama, literally the Perfect Man. He listened to his father's word and lived in forest for 14 years. Sita and Lakshman his younger brother went along with him to the forest. Sita was kidnapped by Ravana king of Lanka. Rama killed Ravana with the help of Sukriva and Hanuman. He then returned back to Ayothya and ruled many years.

I totally agree that Shri Ram is not a "hindu" God, but He chose to manifest His pastimes on this land for some reasons. So, this land is glorious, as it bears His footprints.

word "Hindu" came from Persia. Persians called this way inhabitants of the banks of river Sindhu. They couldnt pronounce Sindhu and used to say Hind instead.

People of Bharata varsha never called themself hindu. Lord Rama never called Himself hindu.

@jinujee Yes, as God can come in many forms, so His pure devotees come in many forms. Some of Lord Rama's most dedicated friends and servants were in monkey forms. Hanuman is one such great devotee.

Plus, when one is killed by God Himself, it is an act of mercy, because that person who is killed gets transcendental association and touch of the Lord.
