@wlmason73 there's a time and place to take music theory lessons and my guess is that this isn't the right place neither the right time. There are tons of forums, schools or something else where you can go into...
Anyway this is just my opinion, peace...

@halby720 Not every successful musician simply plucks songs out of their butt, makes boat loads of money, and lives happily ever after. All that "boring" music theory exists for a reason. It exists to assist musicians in expressing themselves and sharing their music with others. My guess is that the overwhelming majority of serious musicians would laugh at your comment rather than the ones you're attacking.

@hydralisk3313 I disagree, it might be easy to get it in the ballpark, but getting it close is very hard.

He really has the easiest tone to copy. He needs to get some good/unique tone. Though his playing is awesome as it is.

@occlto E dorian has two sharps - F# and C#. E Dorian is equivalent to D Ionian - they both have an F# and a C#. G ionian is equivalent to A dorian. And you don't use key signatures for modes, that's not how they work.
