  • how do you set your mode(clip limiter) switches for your subs...let me know

  • @chekkis - It should say it in the manual. I believe that's what i did.

  • xlr is NOT better then 1/4". because that balanced TO.

  • @hardekernlent - Ok. i figured XLR is better

because it has the ground and what not.

It really depends on your outlook and acutally

listening to one and one side by side. You

probably cant Hear a difference. If you are

going to post a comment, please put some

    useful information in it.

  • Question, I have the ep 2500 amp hooked up to a pair of JBL jrx 125s. Do you think there will be a crossover issue if I add a b1800x subwoofer, bridge all the power from the amp into that and then daisy chain it? Or do you think its better to just ditch them and get a pair of active speakers?

  • Hmm...i dont have much experience with bridging, and i have a strong feeling if i were to say something i thought was correct about it, i would probably get a couple negative comments. But in my preference, i would go with active, they are easy and do most of the work for you. I am not sure entirely how it would work. You might not get as much power to your sub as you want cause the satellite speakers are too loud. But i would suggest to play around with it

  • By the way it is possible to connect an 1/4" connection in an unbalanced way by just using mono cables (guitar jack cables). However this is quite a waste of your expensive equipment if you ask me, not investing in a relatively cheap xlr or 1/4" stereo cable.

  • XLR and 1/4" are exactly same. Just different connector. On XLR you've got three pins in an triangle, on 1/4" connector you got three connections behind each other. Note that this is NOT a regular stereo jack plug signal, it's three pins per channel. In an balanced connection there's one ground, one + sinus and one - sinus, the minus is just the inversion of the plus signal, when there's +5v at one, there's -5volt on the other. Cancels out any interference caused by power cords, earth loops, etc

  • @JVM113 Bridging yes, what you can do is crossover one side for the sub, the other for the tops.

  • ok i have a roland kc 150 and the subwoofer output is a 1/4 inch. i was wondering what the hell im supposed to do? haha i have a 120w bass cube that has speaker cable inputs. are 1/4 inch to speaker cable cords common?

  • Not sure if anyone pointed this out but that's not quite right about the balanced XLR (which pin does what)... Also... The jacks are balanced too.
