Not sure why this guy never shows up on the radar as one of the great New Orleans performers. Nevertheless, this is the original version of Joe's "Chicken A La Blues".

We had Cousin Joe (Pleasant Joe in the Blues who is who) a few times in the youth house "den Uil" in Zwijndrecht (Belgium). It was arround 1979. I also remember he did some writing for Memphis Slim earlier in his carreer.
