Legacy Park Mosaics in Malibu

Eight mosaic animals were installed in Legacy Park in Malibu, CA in the fall of 2010. Artist Robin Indar made hundreds of the tiles by hand and along with the talented Sarah Campbell spent 4 months mosaicking the forms from head to toe. Through rain, dust storms and extreme heat, the tiley duo transformed the gray cement into colorful works of art. Universal Precast in Redding fabricated the sculptures from designs by LSA in Sausalito. You can visit the animals by turning off the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu at Civic Center Way. There, the beautiful eco-park awaits with state-of-the-art water reclamation, native plants and grasses and crushed granite walking paths.
