From Tim "This was a really fun experience. The Larry Sanders Show writers were mega smart and the whole adventure was a funhouse mirror version of my struggles with the National Endowment for the Arts. My case was making its way to the Supreme Court when this was broadcast.

@jigglypuff3 I thought this too! However, This actually was aired shortly prior to Bill Hicks' set being censored. Leno actually approached Hicks to perform the censored set on the Tonight Show (as he does in Larry Sanders)..Bill of course refused.

I'm curious, how much free reign with your dialog were you given in this? What with all you said about television, was there a solid script, or a basic idea you had to carry out?

God though, how frustrating this is.
