If beef eating is essential for passing off as a "human being", I will like to belong to some other specie which does not eat the flesh of its mother who nourishes by her milk. The intellect of arnabde03 (sorry for not adding Mr ? Mrs etc, because I do not know wheter it is he or she or it) is clear by its inability to read the references I cited. Answering a well referenced comment by mere abusing is the hallmark of new brand of "human being" !!

(Part-2 of previous message) : Religion is not merely prayers. It is a regulated way of life which includes one's attitude towards and service for oneself as well as to the society. Eating, sleeping, thinking, acting, etc are all part of religion. Eating beef and drinking milk of the same Mother Cow are mutually incompatible acts. Premchand was a real patriot, hence got no prize, while Tagore was honoured by anti-Indians. Jan Gan Mana was written at an occasion which is concealed from Indians.

Read Tagore's biography by his nephew in which Tagore's beef eating is mentioned.Tagore accepted eating uneatables in his short story 'Vaishnavi'.The fact is that he ate beef with his Briitish friend,esp with the Irish poet Yeats, in order to get his name nominated for Noble Prize.His ancestors belonged to Pirali brahmins, who had been ostracized from brahmin community long ago for eating with muslims.Biblical religion of Gitanjali, based merely on prayers,was the cause of Western support to him
