@truvelocity it's me greeneyedstone42 on my new acct. ty for responding. yep Joan should not have adopted. but honestly, the woman died in the '70's and Christina is still running around crying abuse. I think her actions reflect a person who is obsessed with the material far more than the maternal..

@greeneyedstone42 From what I gather, its not so much the beating as the abuse, it was the emotional disconnect. She wanted a maternal connection from her mother and Joan didn't have the capacity to give it, so she did things the best she could. Sometimes a mother's best will never be good enough.
