Ah, Summer of 1984. I was 9 years old, spent that whole summer watching Nickelodeon. 1984 was the epitome of classic Nick: Nick Rocks, YCDTOT (usually back to back episodes), and DangerMouse before they signed off for the evening. The next year, Nick was bought by Viacom, changed to the orange splat logo, and basically lost its soul. I growing weary of Nickelodeon by 1986. By that time, the only good shows left were Turkey Television and reruns of The Monkees. I was done with Nick by 1987.
