I really like the marimba you are using and the way you are playing. It's always nice to see someone playing music and not bashing on an instrument while marking time

I meant the mallets. The 12's seemed like they would be much softer than the 16's, but they don't sound too different in the recording.

@mdangelo those are the 12's? I didn't think that would be that hard. I have the 16's

Absolutely wonderful. I am hoping to learn this piece in time for my senior recital next May, and I also had the chance to buy some sammut 12's, which are great for almost anything in my opinion. What advice would you give somebody beginning to learn this? I have a 4.6 octave musser, and a 5.0 yamaha. I'd rather use the musser, but do you think there are too many 5.0 notes to 8va them? Thanks again.

@alexanderpit2006 Yeah, you kind of need the 5.0 octave notes. Some of the keyboard shapes would be troublesome if you upped the octave on the lower notes. I'd go with the 5.

what mallets are you using there?

They are indeed Sammut ES12's. I tried all of my mallets and of course these were the only ones that sounded right for the piece.
