In a recent interview with Australian Radio Station Triple M105.1 FM, Chad Smith revealed to Radio Host Ugly Phil that the new Red Hot Chili Peppers album will now be out next year - 2011! (Contrary to the October/Winter period of 2010, which was originally estimated as the release date by Chad Smith during an interview with MusicRadar back in May.) Chad also confirmed that they'll definitely be touring in Australia!

@ratchetin ME TOO! I'm disapppointed that the release date of the album will be sometime next year. First of all, right before you're going to create a album never say the release date already, than fans get pissed off if you change the release date right at the recording time! I hate it when bands do that!

@rickskatekick2 I agree, but Josh is literally the best replacement for John on the planet. His views and interest in music, his writing style, ability to jam and improvise live, and especially his voice. Its actually almost perfect. I dont think he will match John when it comes to writing but I have confidence in Flea to step up and have a much bigger role in the writing process.

@ratchetin ME TOO.! I was told that too. And then I keep looking around like, "where are the advertisements and such for this new album cause its almost October and then BAM....2011." I was pissed...I hope its like early next year like Jan 1, 2011...because I can't freakin wait....
