Hopefully that quote holds true as I've heard from people here and there, thru email and otherwise, how much they dig this record.. I just want people out there to be able to find it and hear it again.. or have other fellow country blues fans find it for the first time --
From this quote on the only page of information I can find about him,
he says, "Once Jesse started with the Prothonotary's Office in 1989, he didn't have the time to keep playing professionally. "I still play and write in my spare time and have a few songs copyrighted," says Jesse. "Maybe I'll go back to performing when I retire. After all, my blues heroes were rediscovered when they were in their 60's and 70's -- maybe that will hold true for me, too."
Is Mike still alive and playing? He's got to be 60 something now. I remember him from Quince St. back in the 70's. Bars, college shows, Tom Waits, both the Bills; if you can remember it, were you really there? I found this while watching Mike Farrell. Jesse wasn't ahead of his time, he was the time. Hope he's still going, but if he's passed, I've never forgotten him, and throw back a shot for him. Thanks for being my friend back then, Jesse! Marc G.
