After a straight out departure to the south I turn right, flying between the inner and outer shoreline heading for the Bellmore/Wantagh area. I then turn north along the Wantagh Parkway and perform maneuvers over Bellmore circling over my house and other familiar areas. During this segment I'm maneuvering in an area that has small altitude tolerance. I am literally sandwiched between the minimum altitude above congested area (plus obstacle clearance) and under the floor of the NY TCA, giving me only a few hundred feet to safely operate in.
When I've had enough of this I turn south and then fly west along Sunrise Highway through Bellmore and Merrick. The NY TCA bottoms out near Freeport so I turn south to the Jones Beach area.
