The Sinoatrial Node is constantly firing at its inherent rate: 60-100bpm. The electrical conduction is blocked from going through the AV Node preventing Ventricular contractions. Immediate interventions is required following AHA 2005 ACLS Guidelines of Asystole algorithm.

    That is if you count the SA node as a pacemaker!
