1.) Scotiabank Place is older than the Air Canada Centre, so that comment itself is illogical.

2.) My comment was made nine months ago. It seems petty and irrelevant to be commenting over something so dated.

3.) Who would have expected a fresh-faced eighteen year-old rookie to come in and be a significant contributor at one of the most difficult positions for an NHLer to master. Schenn with 70 games, logging over 20 minutes against men most nights. Fantastic rookie year.

looking back, the 08 draft, at least the first round was pretty outstanding, or at least it's looking that way

Stamkos, Doughty, Bogosian, Pietrangelo, Schenn, Hodgson, Myers, Boychuk, Karlsson, Del Zotto, Eberle, Tedenby, Ennis, Carlson

Not to mention some guys yet to be NHLer's who look to be great players

What an amazing pick. Fucking dumbass Islanders have useless Bailey lol. Meanwhile Schenn is an absolute STUD, already the Leafs' second best defenseman behind Phaneuf. This guy is gonna be a 25+ minute man and captain of the Leafs in a couple of years. He led the league in hits (he's a rock!) and I believe he was very high in blocked shots too. He fights, he hits HARD, he stands up for his teammates, he even has a slight bit of offensive flair.

it's fine to boo toronto when theyre picking if you dont like them but is it really necesaary to boo the kid when hes going up just because he got drafted by toronto? same thing happened in 09 in montreal, they booed kadri even though he was a montreal fan growing up too... thats classless

@hockeyislife0193 Creamed his pants about Luke and creamed it just as much in this years world juniors with Brayden. Would have been great if Toronto would of got Brayden aswell. LA played spoiler there.
