Smashing Pumpkins were inducted into the Hollywood Rock Walk on Wednesday, April 23, and Corgan is glad it's not another lame award.

  • his songs are great...his voice on the other hand...is TERRIBLE live

  • arguably the best? more like 100% most definitely the best. <3

  • @davedorger Cool. Have fun.

  • @ProbableFiction Whatever. Im too stoned right now to care. I just played Siamese Dream backwards and it told me to carve a pumpkin in the image of George Bush and then to smash it.

  • @davedorger The Pumpkins were from a different than the other bands you mentioned. The only real thing SP has in common musically with the others is they were contemporaries.

  • @MIvarsson99 oh well, what the fuck do I know.

  • @davedorger I hate to burst your bubble but what a record debuts at means absolutely nothing. Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Green Day, Marilyn Manson, and Oasis all had records to go platinum TEN TIMES. Alice in Chains were unknowns and paupers by comparison. Dirt, their biggest selling disc, only sold slightly less units than Siamese Dream.

  • @MIvarsson99 Actually I think Nirvana and soundgarden were the most influential bands of that era but Alice in Chains was the biggest commercial success with PJ right up there but 3 consecutive albums debuting at no 1?? kind of hard to top and aic is the only band to ever do it once let alone 3 consec. Pumkins were my least favorite then but as time goes by I like em more. Anyway who gives a fuck who sold more there were many great bands then. Not anymore they all suck now.

  • I love how he calls the award ceremony lame immediately after they honor him.

Way to go Billy. Never let go of that iron-grip grudge.....lmao....NEVER

  • @walterp341 Hey, the Smashing Pumpkins are my all time favorite band but I have to agree that Nirvana was the biggest band of the era. I have no idea where MTV is coming from calling the pumpkins "arguably the biggest."

I love Billy and Co. but they weren't even as big as Pearl Jam most likely.
