i have a 250 watts fog lamp like that. does it mean i have to double the burning/exposing time since 500 watts is half the time of a 250 watts? i tried buying a 500 watts bulb but it wont fit to a 250 watts size lamp, i don't wana buy another 500 watt light. thanks

@trebluap I think it would make sense to double the exposure time since you are using a light half the strength of a 500 watt. You have to kind of play with your exposure time. 500 watt lights are not real expensive though. Home Depot has a 500 watt work light for $17.00. I got lucky and found one on sale for $6.00 so it might be worth a trip to Lowes or Home Depot. The faster you can burn a screen the more money you can make. :) Hope it helps.

I also highly recommend using Saati Chem emulsion called TextilPV (pink). When i first started I was using ulano (good stuff) but like your emulsion it took around 11 minutes to expose.

the Saati TextilPV takes about 2 minutes. I am using the same worklight set up as you though my disance may be a few inches difference. I love the Saati, it has never given me any problems.

I will have to check out the emulsion you mentioned. I have since upgraded

to a uv exposure unit and now the screens expose much faster.

The idea for the screen rack was mine. I posted the plans on my blog if you

want to check it out. I think the post was in August or maybe July. I can not

wait to get a vinyl cutter. :)

nice idea on the screen rack, was that your idea or did you find it somewhere?

you can also use a vinyl cutter to cut out designs in opaque black vinyl and stick it to transparency material. works great as long as its opaque. basically anything that blocks the light can be used. such as cutting out designs in black paper.

I also use transparency with a laser printer, but I usually double the transparency because the toner is not dark enough without doubling.
