Dependent Media: Journalists blast Georgia's crackdown on free press

Georgia used to boast a free media - but now the government has tightened its grip on TV news, obstructing pro-opposition reporting. That's the finding of a US-based independent group seeking to protect press freedom worldwide.

In the US the media is a joke. All of the TV News shows seem to pro war.

The current regime in Georgia are puppets of the western imperialists. The regime was installed in CIA led and Soros financed colored revolution (so called "tulip revolution" in 2003). Criminal and genocidal US imperialists pushed Georgia into wart with Russia in August 2008 when Georgia attacked South Ossetia in order to regain control over the breakaway province.

Saakashvili's days are numbered! He will hang!

Can't be agree. They are trying to make the genocide for abhaz and osetin population since beginning of last century. It seems as everytime they chose bloodthirsty bastards to leadership. Looks like fascism. + SS volunteers in the Second WW time. Another example -- a famous movie actor Kikabidze -- he gained his popularity in Russia living here, but threw a lot of s**t on us in 2008th. None of Russia's georgian citizens made a support to Russia's actions.

@Nitrorus Yeah, I saw a guy stabbed to death by a group of knife-wielding, middle-aged assassins in Vake, Tbilisi in November, 2007, while sitting in an Italian restaurant enjoying my tomato soup. The whole thing took place about 10 yards from where I was sitting. I later heard that the attack was "political" in nature. Whatever the reason, I can tell you that it wasn't very "European".

BTW, the majority of Georgians are really decent, fantastic people. Their "leaders" are the problem.
