baby sandhill crane's flight

the baby frequently plays with spanish moss in the yard. He tosses it in the air, then flaps his wings at it. When he realized I wasn't going to give him any bread, he stayed in the yard while mom and dad went to the neighbor's yard. I tossed the Spanish moss he had been playing with toward him, twice, and was rewarded with him playing with it... and flying off! I think it was one of his first flights! Mom and Dad were all "WTF is he doing" and went after him. He's growing up so fast!
