Superglide synthetic ice skating

This rink was located at the Trafford Centre in Manchester UK when I visited in December. I have skated on lots of synthetic rinks and was told this stuff was good. Have a look at the video as you can see no one was skating on this stuff, the Marshalls were not looking after the kids falling over just sat on the barrier chatting. The kids skates are not fastened and no one seemed to care at all. We took our own skates that had just been sharpened and after 5 mins the blades were very very hot and when got off had lost there edge altogether.

Not Very Good at all, I will post more tests of Synthetic Ice over the next few months, and find what the best stuff to buy is. They all say that there stuff is the best let's test it and find out.

Superglide - Results.
Skated well - felt like ice
Friction - very high - hot blades - blunt in 10 mins.
NOT RECOMENDED!
