haha! you didn't know that fingers and style of playing effects the tone? ... nOOb. That's why even if I played satriani's exact set up for playing Live, I still wouldn't sound like him.

That's actually a very contributing factor to the tone. The strength in your hands, and the way the fingers connects with the strings. It can mean a world of difference.
