holdsworth makes it look so smooth and fluid..............Ive heard he can "play what he hears in his head" improvisationally. The flourishes are so extended that they are obviously beyond any linking of various "licks". I dont think many people are gifted with the mental "wiring" to be able to do things like this on the fly, even if their hands have the manual dexterity and reach to do so. I can type a mile-a-minute, but there is no way I could ever play a guitar like that.
