CedarRidge is a Department 56 Original Snow Village located in my living room and I love to share it with everyone. This video was made possible by my creative sister. Thanks Bec!

  • hello, I would first like to congratulate you on your beautiful village. If you watch the film of the village, you see at 5 minutes and 6 seconds that there is a puppet / man with a yellow jacket that climbs a ladder to the roof of the house to go to fix the roof Could you tell me what brand this item / part is from and what year it was purchased this related to the occupation of my father, roofer there fore we would like to purchased it for him Sincerely Cynthia
  • @chenefleurflower

That piece came with "A Home in the Making" (Snow Village #54979). It has retired, but there are many listings on ebay.

I'm glad you enjoyed my video. Happy Holidays!

  • Your village is amazing!! What's your method for hiding all the wires?

  • I use two inch styrofoam for the bases and I block them up two inches from the table foundations. I cut holes through the styrofoam under or behind each building and feed the cords through the holes. The two inch void between the styrofoam and tables has cords going everywhere! Thanks for posting.

  • I love your village! Beautiful job!!

  • This is a wonderful village - one of the most complete I've seen. You have a lot of items that I've not ever seen before (like the house on fire and the construction site). Great job! We have a large display using a lot of Lemax items and Lionel trains at "Livingston Christmas Train Village" that i hope you'll like.

  • What do you use for your roads and ground covering on the styrofoam, or is it just styrofoam

  • I mix patching plaster with water and dip handiwipes (the thin disposable dish clothes) into the plaster. I drape the coated handiwipes over the basic foundation that I made out of two inch styrofoam to give the effect of drifts.
